I am building a RV14 and will be installing a GMU11 instead of the GMU22 (which is the one suggested with the supplied wiring harness) - However, I notice that the wiring is different for the 2 units. Could I ask what alteration to the wiring did you make for the installation of the GMU11. Any assistance would be appreciated. John in the UK (john.greenhalgh1@sky.com)
Sure: I have used F2309/Mag Adahrs data B for ground and 12v (via a fuse), this goes to connector C403P/403J and ends up in the mag/adahrs bay as a white/green and White/blue Cable.
Then I tried to use F2310 mag/adahrs data A for the can/hi can/low Connection, this should end up as a blue and green Cable in the bay. For unknown reason this connection did not work, I have now pulled a separate shielded 2x22 wire for the canbus to the GMU11
Very low Power requirement and just two wires for the canbus so you should be able to use any four wires that the harness supply to that bay.

What is important is that you no not Power the GMU11 from the GSU25, that is for GMU22 only….
