With the Wheel bearings greased properly, it was time to put the cotter pin in, and torque/secure the brakes. I installed the battery but have both poles covered. I ended with moving the engine, I might lift it out of its box soon.
Apart from a few items that are missing from the previous order (I will get it in the mail), there is nothing more I need from Vans.
Having said that, Vans have great prices on many standard products like antennas and general hardware so it is likely that I will place at least one more order with them before first flight.
Minimum needed are some basic flight and engine instruments but I feel that my engine deserves a full set of sensors and I want to be able to fly to places were radio and ransponder are demanded... I am debating the EFIS question with myself right now
What orders/deliveries are left to do/get? Avionics I guess, but you don't order those from Vans, do you? And chairs I guess? More?

ReplyDeleteThink you will regret going for the more basic solutions, but I understand fully that it is a matter of cost.
