First I wired up some switches for the MGL ECB.
Then I started from chapter 6 and verified that all tasks have been done. I am now at chapter 9, so far it has only been some clearly marked "final torque" task to do.
The third picture is just for me as it popped out to me, clearly showing that I have lost 6,6Kg (14.5 pounds) in January by a rather strict LCHF diet. Another month of this and I will be back in reasonable shape again :)

reamed front stabilizer attachment hole
Made the hole into correct size and reassembled. Ended up realizing that it would be much safer to get some help for actually mounting the rudder.
I got some shipping/customs documentation from Vans so I guess the wing kit is close :D

Dismounted vertical stabilizer
About 10 months ago, I forgot to final drill a hole in the VS01401 front spar doubler. This cost me 20 minutes of extra work today and will probably cost me another 20 minutes on the next session.

Nearing the end of chapter 11
I had decided to keep the shop clear awaiting the wing-kit but I needed to work on the kit tonight so I assembled the main pieces:

11/5/14
Vertical stab mounted on rear fuselage
Vert stab mounted on rear fuselage, temporary of course, the next step is some match drilling. Stood there and just looked at it for almost 15min :D
I was able to squeeze almost all rivets on the F-01414 Aft Deck by sometimes assemble the sqeezer dies after having inserted the yoke into the lightening holes.

Finally working on the RV again
Finally got around to making a real shift in the garage. Re did some rivets on the vertical stabilizer that have bugged me for months. Instead of rivets that were barely acceptable, I now have good rivets.

Metal work on the vertical spar done!
Last night I finished the first build chapter in the Tail kit manual :D
0.5 hours was done on the 22nd and then 1.3 yesterday. 0.3 of those were setting up another shelf in the shop.

I am no longer afraid
Off the rivet gun.
Last night I did almost all the remaining rivets on the vertical spar with the gun. Only had to drill out two of them. It was difficult to find a way to fit a bucking bar into the space available. Still have two rivets to pound, will read up before doing a session tonight. Yesterday I spend 1+2 hours in the shop.

| Had to be drilled out, always getting a good centered hole with the Dremmel |

| And out it goes |
