The last step on page 35-21 is check for smooth operation of the canopy release mechanism. My installation failed that check! Spent almost an hour before I found the cause: Either one hole in the right release pushrod was to far away from the edge or the radius trimming of the canopy release pivot block was less than enough or a combination. I disassembled and trimmed the block some more and after reassembling everything again, the problem was proved to be solved.
