Priming the other side

And a short time lapse video from priming the other side of the parts.

9/29/14

Priming tail parts

Priming in itself is a boring task but as one knows that parts being primed are "done" and ready for assembly, it gives me great satisfaction to have started priming tail parts. Tomorrow I expect to flip sides.

As nothing new have happened at this session, I continue with the time lapse videos:

9/28/14

4.4 hours today

Did 4.4 hours in three sessions today :D
Had to recharge the camera battery for a while so the time lapse misses about one hour of work.

One more session and then its hopefully time for priming lots of parts.

Two short sessions

My son turned two yesterday and today we had a party for him. Despite of these happy distractions I got two short sessionsdoen. Yesterday I forgot the memory card again but nothing new done, just final drilling, deburring and dimpling. Soon I´ll be ready for priming a bunch of parts.

9/24/14

Match drilling & dimpling

Feels like I am finally doing some real work again. Have to be careful now with the directions of the dimples ;)

9/21/14

Rudder stops done

Took forever but I think the rudder stops are done now.

9/20/14

Finally working on the RV again

Finally got around to making a real shift in the garage. Re did some rivets on the vertical stabilizer that have bugged me for months. Instead of rivets that were barely acceptable, I now have good rivets.

9/11/14

Booring

For the first time in the build, I have some trouble with my motivation.

I think there are two reasons for this, one is that I have a lot of other things on my mind at the moment, the second is that there are so many parts to prepare before you can actually start to put things together again.

I am not interested in buying a quickbuild but I would jump on the opportunity to buy reasonably priced parts that are already final-drilled, deburred and maybe even primed.

9/9/14

Making parts

Usually I find these tasks boring but now there are some more advanced modifications to be made so more interesting! Also collected more primer.

9/8/14

Hitting parts

Does not feel right but it's what the manual tells you to do ;)

Prepping tail parts

Getting rid of the blue cover plastics and removing tooling tabs and other non-wanted material.

9/4/14

Chapter 10 started

I actually started on tuesday but did not have the camera set up.
Nothing interesting so far just separating parts and grinding of some areas.

Wall done, it got to dark without paint so I decided to paint it white.

After the wall dried, I cleaned the floor and tonight I plan to get the shop organized and ready for making airplane parts again.
